1ST STREET VILLAGE

This was a commercial design group project. The project details were decided upon by the group as a whole and each individual was responsible for preparing certain pages and supplying complete information. The main goal of this project was to expose us to the large amount of details invovled with commerical design and to get us to think outside of the box in terms of how to use space creatively for different types of companies.

VA PHEONIX ALZHEIMER'S AND DIMENTIA FACILITY

Concept Statement: The overall design of this facility creates a warm and welcoming environment for residents as well as thier families. As a multi-use facility, with long term care as well as outpatient services, people will feel welcom and at home, no matter the length of thier stay. The design of the facility enhances the healing process by providing memory care residents with a warm and intriguing environment that encourages socialization and an active lifestyle. Themes within each of the assisted living phases help the residents distinguish one area from another while providing them with a sense of belonging to their own space. Nature themes displaed in the artwork, natural colors, and large windows throughout the facility help to bring the outdoors in and provide residents with a daily routine to aide in their natural circadian rythms. The residents will feel mentally, physically and emotionally sound throughout the duration of their time at the VA Pheonix Alzheimer's and Dimentia Facility in Pheonix, Arizona.

MULLET RESIDENCE

The homeowners were looking to remodel thier Kitchen and redesign thier space plan.  They requested an open floor plan with neutral warm colors. This project was entered into a local contest at Corvallis Custome Kitchen & Bath. The community voted on these designs and the design recieved an honorable mention.

HAND RENDERING

For this project, I was responsible for finding a floor plan and designing a living room. This particular floor plan had four access ways going outside or to other spaces of the home. I wanted to utilize the fireplace and make this room welcoming when guests enter through the main doors. The renderings include the floor plan, four wall elevations, and a perspective view.
